YOUNG PROFESSIONALS

The Young Professionals was started over five years ago by Joy Ross, Medical Recruitment Specialist with the aim of providing a medium for young medical practitioners and interns to network and socialise with like minded people and meet local residents in Wagga Wagga.

The Young Professionals aim is to meet on a bi-monthly basis for a relaxed and social evening of networking. The group consists of a mixture of people from early 20's to late 30's all from varying backgrounds and local organisations.

Young professional functions attract an exciting group to each event which are based in a social environment such as a local bar, bowling green for ‘bare foot bowling' or a restaurant. The events are very relaxed making socalising easy.

The group is a great way to meet new people socially or for business purposes, for new residents to Wagga this is a great way to meet new people with similar interests in town. Many new comers have found the group to be very welcoming and the events have also taken them to places in Wagga they have yet to discover.

Currently the group is self funded with each attendee ‘paying their way' at the event. The events average at a cost of $20 per person making it a reasonable night out. The group is currently seeking sponsorship from local businesses to help increase the profile of this positive group.

Past events have included Bare Foot Bowling, cocktail nights, Japanese dinners, casual drinks and various dinners.
