WAGGA WAGGA AIRPORT

The "Welcome to Wagga Wagga: sign at the Wagga Wagga Airport greets more than 220,000 people each year.

The modern terminal has recently been enlarged and renovated while a Master Plan has been developed to meet the needs of growing number of air travellers.

Regional Express (Rex) and QantasLink operate 146 return services to Sydney and Melbourne each week which link with domestic and international flights.

The airport is leased by Wagga Wagga City Council from the Department of Defence. Both the airport's operations and a substantial capital works program are funded from income and airport reserves generated from regular public tranpsort services, landing fees and leases to numerous bussinesses operating from the site.

The airport is home to the Forest Hill RAAF Base and the Australian Airline Pilot Academy run by Rex Airlines.
