AVIATION AFTER FIVE

The third Aviation After Five event was held on Thursday 1 July 2010 at the Wagga Wagga Airport. 70 invited guests attended the networking event, another highly successful event based on the attendance and feedback.
Keynote speaker Kenny Love, Chief Executive, Temora Aviation Museum, held the audience captured with his presentation titled "Embracing Change". Kenny spoke about the history of the Temora Aviation Museum and the current changes to the flying program - to deliver a more frequent flying program that enables a more hands-on and complete experience for the public.
Guests also received updates on projects from the Wagga Wagga City Council's aviation team including the recent adoption of the Airport Master Plan, the Instrument Landing System (ILS) project, participation in National Manufacturing Week, and the completion of the Pavement project.
An update on Council's participation in the eLearning project was also received including live demonstrations of the resource.
Guests were also entered into a draw for a lucky door prize. Prizes this month included a return airfare Wagga Wagga to Sydney or Melbourne thanks to Rex, tri-wine gift pack thanks to Charles Sturt University and Wagga Wagga wine and goodies gift bag thanks to Wagga Wagga City Council
The Aviation After Five evenings provide invaluable networking opportunities for businesses operating within, and interacting with, the aviation industry to build strong working relationships with industry partners within the Riverina region.
