FLOODS, STORMS AND WAGGA WAGGA'S INFRASTRUCTURE - A DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD?
The three extreme weather events in 2010, which comprised two flooding events in March and October and a wild storm in December, have resulted in a damage bill to public infrastructure expected to exceed $30 million. Roads and bridges in particular copped the full force of these events, with the October floods proving the most costly.
However, wealth cannot be created by destruction of wealth! Or can it?!
