Stella Estella -143 Extra Residential Lots Approved

 

With another 143 residential allotments approved for Estella last month, the need for residential land to satisfy market demand, looking forward, is being brought into balance.

Clearly, Estella is one of Wagga Wagga's growth centres, with a capacity to meet the predicted growth in population in Wagga Wagga over the next 15 years.

Even better news, was the effort of Council planning staff that assessed the development application within 85 working days; including a 14 day public exhibition period. The planning team at Wagga Wagga City Council are committed to improving their systems to achieve better outcomes for the City, developers and the community.

Within the newly approved subdivision, 88 lots have achieved a five star ‘block sustainability rating', making complying with BASIX so much easier for new home owners when it comes time to build. Two allotments have been identified for medium density residential living and the cycleway and pedestrian links are in alignment with the Estella Neighbourhood Plan. All of these items add value to the sustainability aspect for new villages and suburban lifestyle.

Encompassing commanding views toward the City, the location of this new development will be well sort after by new home buyers, families and investors.

The development will provide wider community benefits to the City, including, employment generation and growth in the building and services industries. Construction of houses on the land will further advance the market and social trigger points for a stronger local shopping centre and primary school.
