WAGGA WAGGA WINS OVER COUPLE

"You can tell a place is laid back when they have time to say their name twice!" Katherine Ciempka, Wagga Wagga Evocities Competition Winner.

Katherine and Luke Bramble entered and won the 2Day FM's Evocities radio competition, which allowed them the opportunity to experience the lifestyle of a regional destination of their choice. The couple chose Wagga Wagga as their destination of choice because it was a renowned regional location they had not been to before.

During their two day stay in Wagga Wagga in early March they were given VIP treatment which they thoroughly enjoyed. They were welcomed to the city by Mayor Wayne Geale and Evocities Consultant Matthew Holt starting their day at the local Farmers Markets. Matthew had arranged a variety of sights and activities for the couple including visiting the Botanic and Memorial Gardens, wine tasting and dinner at two of our local restaurants. "We really enjoyed our meals at both the Three Chef's and Thyme Out Restaurant. They were the same quality, if not higher than a Sydney restaurant."

While the visitors do not have immediate plans to relocate they would consider a move at a later stage in their lives. "I do see the appeal to be able to get to work in 5 minutes, the more affordable lifestyle and the good community values for raising children."
